Jon and Michelle opted to have breakfast in the MDR, but we were a little lazy and didn't get up in time. In our defense, we did lose an hour with the time zone change. Before we went to the buffet, we made a trip to the shore excursions desk to ask some questions about the shuttle times to La Paz tomorrow. My preference would have been to book the 9:30 am shuttle but the Princess app showed that it was sold out. I really didn't want to go at 8 am so we booked the 11:30 time slot.
The guy working at the shore excursions desk told us that the shuttle would be running every half hour and even if our ticket said 11:30, we could get on an earlier bus if there was room. The last shuttle back to the ship was scheduled for 1:30 so I was relieved to find out we could go earlier if we wanted. I was worried that going at 11:30 we would be stuck in a very long line for the last returning bus.
When we did make it to breakfast we carried our food out to the area overlooking the Terrace Pool. The temperature was warmer and it was very pleasant enjoying our meal outdoors.

Jon and Michelle had tracked us on the Princess app and came looking for us just as we were leaving the buffet. Back at our room, Bob and I sat on the balcony. I was comfortable, Bob was wrapped in a blanket! Jon left to go to the naturalist talk and Michelle left to find a lounge chair in the sun somewhere.
After a while, Michelle texted that she was on Deck 16 near the MUTS (Movies Under the Stars) screen. Bob and I went up to join her and the warm sun did feel wonderful. That is where we remained until noon with Bob half sleeping/half watching the Little Mermaid II movie.
When we went to lunch at the buffet we were able to claim a table by the window...a rare find! As we were sitting there I saw the back of a whale out of the window. Then we saw another! We watched their spray and even saw their fins as we sailed by. I'm not sure anyone else sitting near us was even aware they were there.
At 3:00, Bob and I went to the enrichment talk "Business Jets - Glamour and Glitches" in the theater. I can't comment on whether the lecture was good or not because I kept dozing off. I should learn not to even try and attend afternoon talks!
As we left we stopped by the shore excursion desk one more time and talked to a different guy concerning shuttle times in La Paz (can you tell I am a little concerned about this?) The result was that this time we were informed we could only board a bus at the time our ticket showed...not earlier as we were told just a few hours before. There were just two tickets left for the 8 am shuttle and the guy let us book those slots. He was not able to cancel the previous reservation though but told us to just drop off the un-used tickets and they would refund the cost. (At that point we hadn't even received the other tickets.) I wasn't crazy about going so early, but reasoned that we would be able to get back tot he ship sooner and avoid any long lines for the shuttle at the end of the day. The ship leaves La Paz at 3:00 pm so it is a short port day.
The dinner menus have continued to repeat from the Hawaii leg of our trip and that gives us a chance to either order something again that we really liked the first time or try a new dish. I repeated the avocado salad and crab & artichoke dip again but the plantain chips were missing from the dip and the avocado was left out of the salad! Lokesh and Ian brought the missing ingredients on separate plates. All four of us ordered the beef stroganoff which we enjoyed.
Normally we would have skipped the repeat show in the theater, but tonight it was Elliott Hunter, the magician. Seeing his illusions a second time didn't make a difference though...we still couldn't figure them out!
There were some seats left in the Explorer's Lounge when we walked by so we stopped in to watch the game show, Majority Rules. It was sort of funny at first, but kept getting raunchier and raunchier so we left. Tomorrow will be an early day for all of us so skipping our card games and going to bed is probably a good thing.
